We began our odyssey with a plane ride to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, which eventually would lead us to Nairobi. We got up early and arrived at the airport.

The team consisted of myself (Benjy Monteagudo), Jennifer Schultz, and Lina Ngao, as well as Ignacio, our TA, whom we would meet at Addis Ababa, since he was flying in from Spain. We were also accompanied by Spencer Shumway from the malaria team, who was taking the same flight as us, and then transfered to a flight to Kampala, Uganda, and Dr. Acharya, who was traveling with Spencer.

The flight itself was a long 13 hours, and Ethiopia is 7 hours ahead, so when we landed, it was 8am Ethiopia time, and 1am Baltimore time. So needless to say, I slept a bit on the plane before we landed.

When we did, we were tired, but we had made it to the next step, getting to Nairobi!
